I’ve been super sick all week. I’ve had a super high fever – but not as HIGH AS I’M GONNA FEEL WHEN WE CRUSE THROUGH WEEK 5 THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.
(but for real – I need to get better).
Andrew Luck put up one of the best games of his career last week and could look to stay hot. However, the Patriots just absolutely SMOKED the Miami Dolphins. We’ve got Brady dancing, and Edelman back. The Patriots seem to finally be getting into the swing of things as we all turn the corner into October.
So, there are two ways this will go. Option #1 is less likely to happen, but here it is just to cover all my bases.
Option #1 –
This game will come down to the wire. Andrew Luck’s hand is smoking hot, and Tom Brady and the Pats can’t play any sort of football. There’s no room for error coming down the stretch, and one of the QBs makes a mistake near the endzone – costing their team the game. Now, this option seems plausible, but it’s not likely whatsoever. The Colts just seem to be missing something.
The more likely option…
Option #2 –
THIS GAME IS A SLAUGHTER. TOM BRADY ABSOLUTELY MURDERS EVERY COLT, PONY, AND HORSE NEAR MASSACHUSETTES. This game will be a 100% blowout. Luck might put up good numbers that have zero value and don’t help his team win (sound familiar Russ West?). Brady having his man Julian back helps the Pats’ full offense. It’ll spread defenses out, creating better plays for Josh Gordon, Chris Hogan, and Gronk. Edelman being back should be the final piece to putting the Pats right on track to the Super Bowl in Atlanta.
Now to the betting.
These lines feel strong, but nothing is super risky. My head is telling me New England -10 because Option #2 feels a lot better. A big blowout seems to be brewing in Massachusetts. Obviously NE MONEY. Now, here’s the trickiest bet of the night. The O/U is at 50. 50 just feels out there. I mean 35-13 doesn’t even cover that. (Good math, Carver). I’ll be taking the Under. This feels just like the safer route.
