The Great Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks took on the Golden State Warriors last night. Despite the Warriors missing their franchise player, Draymond Green, they managed to pull off the upset of the century. Are the Warriors better without Draymond? Is Klay Thompson about to be traded? Can the Warriors win a championship without ZaZa Pachulia? These are all the questions that I’m sure some major news outlet is asking. That’s probably half the reason why you came here instead.
The Golden State Warriors (12-3):
It’s always a good night when Kevin Durant and Jacob Evans combine for 29 points on any given night. Some say Draymond Green was suspended. I say he was probably on a recruiting trip somewhere. Perhaps he was taking the time to cold call every superstar in the league with his elevator pitch in hand. Draymond Green, the ‘Wolf Of Coliseum Way’.
Houston Rockets (6-7):
The Houston Rockets are back on track just like I told you they would. James Harden is back to playing little to no defense, Chris Paul is looking ready to choke in the playoffs, and Clint Capela still owes the majority of his bi-weekly paycheck to James Harden.
Update on James Harden’s beard (1-0):
Still there.
Denver Nuggets (9-5):
After a red hot start, the Nuggets have appeared to slow down significantly. It’s time someone told them that it’s too late to tank for Doncic. Jamal Murray and the rest of the organization have been cursed ever since he took the shot against the Celtics at the end of regulation in a game where the Nuggets had already won. They need a bounce back win, asap.
Other stories:
Nikola Jokic still looks like a gummy bear. Cedi Osman carried the Cavaliers in spirit. Tristan Thompson can rebound a lot, even in basketball games. Kemba Walker is still not a top 10 point guard. Unlike the previous years, you can finally purchase a Gary Harris jersey on the Denver Nugget’s shop website. Turns out he is a real person and not a figment of our imagination. Kobe called his wife ‘mamacita’ and not ‘mambacita’. General Soreness, aka Broccoli head, is still petty. Caris LeVert did not pass; he is still with us.
