Wow, what a thrashing. Two of the league’s best defenses went into this game, and one actually live up to their name. After benching QB Blake Bortles, the Jags put their faith in Cody Kessler. Under Kessler, Jacksonville managed seven points from their offense. I don’t see this offense getting any better with Kessler under center. Bortles is the better QB. I know that’s hard to imagine, but it’s true.
From Tennessee, Derrick Henry put on an absolute show. He carried the ball 17 times for 238 yards and four touchdowns, including a 99-yard touchdown run. We finally saw flashes of the guy we expected to see in Tennessee when he became the number one RB.
The Titans, hosting this game, entered this game 5.5-point favorites. We decided to roll with the Titans, not because of how they’ve been performing, but because of how the Jaguars’ offense has looked this season. We took that win, and we’re not looking back.
