We saw some surprising outcomes last week. The Saints proved just how dominant they are in a BLOW OUT win over Cincinnati. New England suffered an uncharacteristic mid-season loss to the Titans. Buffalo, led by Matt Barkley, put up 40+ points on the Jets.
I’ve been really impressed by the play of New Orleans this year. They’ve had minimal production from the WR position other than Michael Thomas, yet they’ve still been putting up monster numbers. Alvin Kamara, Drew Brees, and the aforementioned Thomas have put the league on notice. They’re one of the top trios in the league, up there with the Steelers, Rams, and Chiefs.
On the other end, who expected Matt Barkley to come in and dominate a team like that? Certainly not I. To be honest, I have no idea where they found Matt Barkley because I completely forgot the guy existed. If Josh Allen doesn’t come back next week, you have to think Barkley is the starter in Buffalo.
Overall Record: 80-60-7
Thursday Night Football
The Seattle Seahawks hosted the Green Bay Packers in this week’s Thursday Night matchup. Seattle was favored by three heading into the contest, meaning this game was essentially a pick-em. Pete Carroll’s team has been rolling. I believed they’d continue to do so in this game against a middling Packers squad. We took the Seahawks (-3). the game ended up in a wash as the Seahawks defeated the Packers 27-24. We’ll take the late wash.
