“All Fight no fear, August is here” ~ FlightReacts

Sadly, it is no longer June. The month in which produced a plethora of highly entertaining content throughout the online basketball community. Fortunately, for fans of social media influencer Kimani White, a.k.a. FlightReacts, there are no signs of slowing down when it comes to IRL basketball 1v1 videos.

Due to many requests, I’m back to suggest more opponents we would like to see challenge Flight. Click here for the previous article.

In the almost two months following the post, only one of my wishes ended up dropping in sub boxes. That being the June finale versus CashNasty.

At the time, I didn’t consider that some people are less likely to travel due to the current pandemic, resulting in no contest. For this go-around, I’ll keep that in mind.

With that being said, here are three more FlightReacts basketball 1v1s that we need.

Jesser

Jesser is a YouTuber who helped popularize the IRL basketball genre in the 2k community. Being an ‘OG,’ he’s played many other creators over the years. One of them is our focus for today, Flight. Jesser is 2-0 against him, including a hilarious victory while blindfolded.

Jesser called out June Flight to a head-to-head battle around the same time my previous article dropped. However, I didn’t add it because I wanted to keep the piece at a nice length.

Nothing resulted from Jesser’s message, but I can try to sorta reignite the flame. Hopefully, Jesser still has intentions of playing him even though it’s no longer the sixth month. I don’t see why he wouldn’t because their two past matchups pleased their fans and wallets.

Despite Jesser playing it rather safe due to the country’s current circumstances, this event can smoothly go down at the 2Hype house. His influencer group’s mansion has a nice court in its backyard. Flight is no stranger to the spot, as he’s made a few trips there as recent as June to 1v1 Mopi.

Flight has upgraded his overall game since the last outing, so I bet part three in the series would be more competitive.

YourRAGE

Flight and YourRAGE have a history together.

In his early days on YouTube, YourRAGE was a plug channel. Many of his most popular videos were Flight-related. As of late, RAGE uses the site to upload highlights from his Twitch live streams.

Some of his best content is reacting to Flight’s 1v1s. When FTC uploads a new game, you know YourRAGE is going to hilariously commentate over it. Due to his constant watching, the two have formed a unique relationship over the internet. At some point, it will be RAGE’s turn to battle Flight, and I’m dying to view it.

I can’t see this not happening. It is inevitable.

Back when creators were ranking the best hoopers in the community, YourRAGE received a low position or no spot at all. This was due to his lack of footage playing meaningful basketball. In response, RAGE stated that he can’t wait to start posting 1v1s.

Being friends, I can’t think of anyone but Flight to be YourRAGE’s debut opponent. Plus, Flight is not good at the sport, so it allows YourRAGE to showcase his skills in front of the community.

For Flight, given the history between the two, this would be his most anticipated match since the June Finale. I doubt he avoids this one. He’s even asked his fans at the beginning of the year about who would win in a 1v1.

They have never met in person, so I expect a game to happen as soon as they meet.

This matchup would not only be gratifying but would also produce many back-and-fourth funny reaction videos between the two.

It’sA Meme, Mario!

While laying in bed scrolling through Instagram, I came across this video. With Flight’s name in the caption, I paused to watch.

In the Tik Tok uploaded to Instagram, Taylor Cross, a.k.a. It’sA Meme, Mario!, calls out Flight to a 1v1 at his fans’ requests.

Despite being a teenager, I surprisingly don’t have Tik Tok. Therefore, I don’t know much about It’sA Meme, Mario!. However, through research, I discovered that he has accumulated over 1 million followers on the platform while posting basketball content.

Being not so good at the game, fans of Taylor have spammed him to play Flight in a 1v1. He mentioned a potential matchup in June, and Flight came across it. Unfortunately, Flight responded by saying that he would not even play Taylor because he’ll win 11-0.

Fortunately, a 1v1 can still happen due to these factors.

Now, Flight has yet to respond to Taylor’s official callout from last week; however, Taylor has been working with Flight’s trainer, R2BBall, to improve at the sport. There is a chance the two run into each other at the gym. Or, R2 puts in a word for Taylor.

Additionally, in July, Flight said that he plans on playing many opponents who are worse than him. In my opinion, Flight is superior to Taylor, so he could easily add a freebie to his horrible 1v1 record. I think Flight brushed off Taylor at first because he is unaware of who Taylor is. A further understanding could lead to a game.

With both having low skill sets, this collab needs to happen. I would expect nothing but enjoyment.

Final Thoughts

Those were three FlightReacts basketball 1v1s that I believe we need. I think Flight would lose most of the suggested matches; however, that is not the main point. At the end of the day, it is about providing entertainment for the fans.

Agree with these matchups? Who else do you want to see in FlightReacts basketball 1v1s? Let me know on Twitter or Instagram.
