Although it is a big too early to make any accurate assessments of any of the thirty teams around the association, one thing has become very clear; the eastern conference still goes through Cleveland. Cleveland’s early success is among the many latest stories around the NBA.
Here are the latest stories around the NBA on this Monday, the 28th of December.
Cleveland Cavaliers 3-0
The Cleveland Cavaliers headlining our latest stories around the NBA not only due to the fact that they are 3-0, but because they are worth discussing. Figuring out where to rank Collin Sexton and Darius Garland on my top guards list was difficult as it wasn’t clear who would play which position.
Regardless of who is playing what, there is no denying that the Cavaliers’ early success is primarily due to the combination of those young stars. Pair them up with the Great Cedi Osman, and you have an actually decent team.
It is unclear whether or not the Cavaliers can sustain this early breath of not being mediocre, but for the sake of Cleveland fans I hope so.
Daddy’s Always Happy
During the off season, I mentioned that not only were the Brooklyn Nets overrated, but the Charlotte Hornets were underrated. Just how good either team can be has yet to be seen. However, Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier’s performances allowed the Hornets to accomplish what the Boston Celtics could not.
The Boston Celtics are soft.
The Boston Celtics have not played like a young team with potential to win an NBA championship. They have had mediocre performances during their last two outings, not a good sign for the Celtics franchise.
No fans, lot of blow outs.
NBA games missing a certain flair without the fans is not breaking news. However, it certainly looks like the absence of fans is affecting the energy and effort of several franchises.
Other stories around the association.
The Washington Wizards need time to figure it out, with and without Russell Westbrook. James Harden can party all off season and still drop 40 on your favorite defender. The 76ers will have their ups and downs, but do look better. The Knicks are capable of winning a game.
The Chicago Bulls suck.
