Another cold night and another loss that makes no sense for the Boston Celtics. The newly debuted “City Edition” jerseys did not help the Boston Celtics snap out of their recent struggles. To make all things worse, they lost to the New York Knicks of all teams. The Celtics are frustrated. They’re not the powerhouse team that they expected to be. At least not yet. In fact, they’re not even playing well. You could tell the players were all frustrated from their body language. Irving has a history of being emotional when upset and displayed his negative emotions once again.
Several members of the media overheard Kyrie Irving saying, “Fuck Thanksgiving”.
Jared Weiss, who covers the Boston Celtics for The Athletic tweeted:

Another Athletic contributor overheard Irving lashing out, but clarified that Irving is Native American:

Brian Windhorst of ESPN wrote about Kyrie Irving embracing his Native American,“Kyrie Irving came to Standing Rock this week for the first time. He did not come for charity — he gave the tribe $100,000 a year ago — and he did not come for photo ops. The main event was sternly off limits to video or photography. He came to honor his mother and he came to understand his heritage.
Irving didn’t know his mother, Elizabeth, well. His parents separated when he was very young and she moved across the country before she passed away when Irving was just 4 years old.
He has both mourned her and been inspired by her for much of his life. As he grew, sometimes he had to fill out paperwork that asked for her information. He’d get emotional sometimes having to leave it blank. When he got his signature shoe from Nike, the first model he wore had his mom’s name and the date 9-9-96, the day she died, stitched into them.”
The last time somebody overheard Kyrie Irving cuss publicly, the Boston Celtics won 16 straight games. Safe to say the Celtics have a win streak on its way.
