Saying LeBron James lacks the clutch gene is blasphemous and simply untrue. When the Lakers needed James the most, he showed up. LeBron James would score 10 straight in the clutch to help lift the Los Angeles Lakers past the Utah Jazz in a 106-101 victory.

With 4:42 left in the fourth quarter, the Utah Jazz took a 5 point lead over the Los Angeles Lakers. A vintage performance by the 2022 Lakers defense showed up.
Lakers defense looked like a Frank Vogel coached team last night.
The Lakers defense would prevent the Jazz from scoring a single field goal all the way from the 4:42 mark to 37.6 seconds left in the game. Aside from a couple Conley Jr. free throws, the Jazz were completely shut down.

LeBron James would begin his run by attacking the Bogdanovic and ultimately meeting Gobert at the rim. This set the tone for what was to come.
The Lakers needed last night’s win.
The Lakers have been struggling as of late. Including last night’s win, they are 3-7 in their last 10. To make things worse, Anthony Davis was hurt during last night’s game. They are a mediocre 27-31, 9th in the western conference. Last night was a much needed clutch win for LeBron James and the Lakers over the 36-21 fourth place Utah Jazz.
LeBron James would finish with 33 PTS, 8 REB, 6 AST, 2& 2 STL on 60.9 FG%.
Although most of us are skeptics of the Lakers being any good, there are still many Lakers believers out there. This was a much needed Lakers win heading into the all-star break.
