Could have gone a lot of ways with today’s overreaction. Perhaps we’ll discuss the potential Wrestlemania match between Donkey From Shrek and Snakeman in a future article. We could have gone with the Washington Wizards upsetting the Orlando Magic. We could have lead off with the fact that Luka Doncic needs to go back to the Euroleague to find some worthy competition. However, in our only second installment of TPR’s Daily Overreaction, we had to talk about the best team in California; the Clippers of course.
Los Angeles Clippers (8-5):
Let’s pretend Wardell, Kevin, Draymond, Klay, and the rest of the Warriors all went to play in the Chinese Basketball League. That would leave us with the Lakers, lead by Lance Stephenson, the Kings lead by DeAron Fox, and the Clippers, lead by Boban Marjanovic. Gotta give it to Clamp City, they’ve made a name for themselves on the defensive end and have been figuring out ways to score the basketball. Unlike the Lakers and Kings, they have depth and talent across all their positions. No, they don’t have a LeBron James. However, their success isn’t predicated on the health of one individual player. Then again, they’re the Clippers. I’m sure they’ll implode eventually.
Washington Wizards (4-9):
The Wizards upset the Orlando Magic to secure their first back to back wins of the season. In my opinion, these is the most impressive back to back wins in Wizards franchise history because this is the first time they’ve done it with a fat point guard.
Joel Embiid vs Hassan Whiteside:
Barbecue chicken.
Other stories:
The Raptors are winless since November 12. Hassan Whiteside is still not a top ten center. When healthy, give me JoJo Embiid over any non robot in the East. 76ers gave Minnesota a way better package than the Heat were offering. The Bulls are fun to watch. College teams should thank their lucky stars that Luka never played college basketball. Kevin Durant v.s Draymond Green is postponed due to Draymond Green recruiting Mike Tyson and Kevin Durant trying to join Mike Tyson & Dramond Green. It’s a weird circle that doesn’t make sense, I know. Turns out the Thunder are better than the Suns. Kings aren’t garbage… yet. DeRozan would have made a great player in the 80s. Caris LeVert, get well soon.
