As a passionate NBA fan, social media continues to be the best way for me to connect with fans from around the country. Having run Per Sources for over 8 years now, I have quite the insight into who the best NBA Instagram accounts to follow in 2022 are. Whether you’re looking for news, highlights, debates, or all of the above, there is something on this list for everyone.
Here are the best NBA Instagram accounts to follow in 2022, in no particular ranking order.
Per Sources
Before diving into the list of the best NBA Instagram accounts to follow in 2022, I hope you take the time to check out Per Sources; a great source of NBA analysis, debates, and an overall great community. We also have our own growing NBA discord community.
We’ve also recently entered the world of creating NBA content for YouTube if you are interested in checking it out.
Sideline Sources
I personally have several Instagram accounts, personal and professional, and I follow Sideline Sources on every single one of those accounts, for good reason. Sideline Sources, based in Canada, continues to be the best NBA Instagram account in 2022. Sideline Sources’ commitment to covering the game, in full HD, is unmatched by anyone else on the internet. Most NBA clips you see on social media are typically repurposed from Sideline Sources. If you want unbiased NBA content with the latest plays, news, and rumors, Sideline Sources is a must follow NBA Instagram Account in 2022.
They also cover the NBA, NFL, Soccer, Culture & more via their website at sidelinesources.com.
NBA Buzz
The Official NBA Buzz quickly emerged as one of my new favorite NBA Instagram accounts to follow heading into 2022. They are the first entry on this list not found on the best NBA accounts to follow in 2021 from last year. What I really like about NBA Buzz is how the present the content in a primary slide in easy to read font. This allows me to examine it within seconds before deciding whether or not I wanted to check the next slide and see more about the story.
NBA Buzz was founded by Mikey Domagala, who has had numerous impressive video interviews with various NBA personalities you may be interested in.
BBall
BBall arguably has the most interesting future among all online NBA content providers. Not only has their founder John Antonelli built an impressive NBA community on Instagram, he is taking it to the next level with the development of the RealApp, a social media platform for NBA fans.
Hoops Nation
Hoops Nation continues to be one of the largest curators of all things basketball. Hoops Nation has an impressive Instagram following. In addition to that, their founder, Buster Scher, is a passionate content creator who also has an impressive library of interviews he has had with various NBA personalities. If you enjoy this type of content, I’d also check out Dunk.
Ball Don’t Stop
Some people think he’s a basketball genius, other’s think he doesn’t understand the game at all. My DM’s are always flooded with takes by Ball Don’t Stop that they want me to address. I’m personally not the biggest fan of most his NBA takes, but if you’re a fan of opiniated NBA content providers, Ball Don’t Stop should be on your list.
Buckets Center
Even though Buckets Center founder, Kalyb Champion, is a Lakers fan, Buckets Center is still worth taking a look at. Kalyb is a passionate NBA fan who continues to share his opinions on the game, as well as providing fans with in season weekly rankings, and off season debates. Similar to Per Sources and Ball Don’t Stop, Kalyb is worth following if you enjoy opinionated NBA Instagram accounts to follow in 2022.
A personal favorite, Green Runs Deep.
As a Celtics fan, I’m typically miserable most of the NBA season. Green Runs Deep always manages to pump me up for the next game.
Here are some additional NBA Instagram accounts that I intend to follow more closely in 2022 that are worth your time.
Hoops Alert
Another great unbiased source of breaking news, updates, rumors, and more related to the NBA. Hoops Alert has a clean grid and gets straight to the point.
Fadeaway World
Fadeaway World has been in the game for a while now. I’ve seen their website content advertised by numerous other NBA Instagram accounts. Their presence is strong and definitely passionate about the NBA. Fadeaway World is worth checking out.
Clutch Points
I remember Clutch Points from Facebook my Facebook days. Although I’m not actively on Facebook any longer, I can confirm that Clutch Points still has the wildest NBA graphics on Instagram as well. They’re well known for it. Check their feed out and you’ll know what I’m talking about within seconds.
A couple personal favorites which are two of the best basketball Instagram pages to follow in 2022.
Girls Talk Sports TV
Girls Talk Sports TV is for all fans who also think the WNBA is so important. Founded by Khristina Williams, Girls Talk Sports TV continues to be the #1 source for all things WNBA.
See Mike Dunn
Not only is he an incredible person, Mike Dunn is a leading provider of professional shooting tutorials on Instagram. He also often breaks down NBA players’ shots, pointing out what they’re doing well, and what they’re not doing well. Another must follow in my opinion.
