We finished Week 12 7-6. It wasn’t anything spectacular, but I am just glad that it wasn’t below .500. Week 13 offers a lot of solid match-ups including an important showdown between the 49ers and Ravens. The 2019 NFL Week 13 picks could be make or break for our year-end goal.

THANKSGIVING FOOTBALL
Chicago Bears (-6) @ Detroit Lions (+6)
The Lions went into their annual Thanksgiving Day game with a new QB. David Blough got his first reps in the NFL and looked pretty good against one of the league’s best defenses. He threw for two quick touchdowns before the Bears’ D settled down. Mitchell Trubisky would lead the Bears back to a 24-20 win, however, they didn’t cover for our sake. The Lions have led in every game this season, yet, they’re 3-8-1.
Buffalo Bills (+6.5) @ Dallas Cowboys (-6.5)
Dallas prays on bad teams, and they lose to good ones. This is another example of that. The Bills defense proved to be too much for Dak Prescott and company. They scored only 15 points in their defeat, as they Bills bested them 26-15. We got a “W” there. The play-calling wasn’t necessarily smart as they moved away from running the ball even though Ezekiel Elliott was averaging 5.9 yards per rush. Jason Garrett probably won’t be fired soon, but he should be.
New Orleans Saints (-7) @ Atlanta Falcons (+7)
I’m off the Falcons bandwagon after last week’s lost to the Buccaneers. They looked like they were back on track with big wins over the Saints and Panthers, but they were not able to sustain that success. I expected Drew Brees to go into this game and dominate, but it was Taysom Hill who stole the show. The backup QB/TE/ST had a blocked punt and two offensive TDs to cap off his day. New Orleans would go on to win 26-18, making us 2-1 on the day.
