Can we talk about Monday’s game? This is the way football is going. We’re going to see successful teams built with three superstars on offense. Teams are going to try and score over 40 and keep teams under 35. Gone are the good days of 20-17 wins, welcome to a new era, an era where four teams have scored 40 points and lost. The Chiefs and the Rams may not have changed football, but they’re the latest example of the change in mindset.

THANKSGIVING FOOTBALL
We swept it on Thursday!
The Bears were three-point favorites heading into Thursday’s match-up against the Lions. Mitchell Trubisky was sidelined with an AC Sprain, leaving the starting job to Chase Daniel. Chicago felt comfortable letting Daniel run the offense with the defense playing the way they’ve been. With Detroit’s offense also struggling since trading, it made sense that Chicago would be able to hold them.
Dallas entered Thursday as seven-point favorites over Washington. Colt McCoy was coming in pretty cold following Alex Smith’s broken leg, and the Cowboys needed to capitalize to put them on the path to win the NFC East. Dallas extended their win-streak to three games after beating the Redskins 31-23.
New Orleans has been the hottest team in football this season. They’re the number one team in the NFC West, having not lost since Week 1. It makes sense that they’ve been double-digit favorites so many times this year. This week they were 12.5-point favorites over division rival Atlanta. As long as they continued to play their way, it was a foregone conclusion they’d continue their winning ways. A 31-17 victory brought us a perfect record on the holiday.
