Home NBA Cleveland’s Problems Are Piling up on them
There are clearly some issues with that NBA team in Ohio. What’s happening, and who could be to blame?
LeBron LeBron LeBron
LeBron has been playing one of his lowest MPG in his career. At 33 years old, James is obviously getting up there in age. Is his age effecting the team? Is he becoming tired with the Cavs? Should he test free agency? These are the questions everyone has been asking about since his rumor about joining the Golden State Warriors dropped.
LeBron is the lead spokesperson and isn’t afraid to voice his opinions which is good at times, but saying that the Cavs don’t deserve to be on national television is a little too far. Cleveland is trying to be positive, but when James is bashing his team the morale is set to change.
Ever since Kevin Love put on a Cavs jersey he’s been in trade conversations every single season. Having him out of the lineup makes things more difficult, and everyone seems to be pointing the finger at him. Being injured that is a case by itself, but flat out stating that Kevin Love is too soft and all he does is sit out on the perimeter is bogus to me. Love is arguably the second-best player on that squad. Not to mention he’s one of the best rebounders on the team. Yes, he does play on the perimeter a lot more than usual, but it’s called sacrificing for the team
Isaiah Thomas wasn’t properly inserted into the lineup. Coming off of one of the best seasons of his career, you’d expect Thomas to play similar this season right? He hasn’t bounced back well from an injury that sidelined him until January and put him steps behind everyone. He’s a starter, but his play thus far has been mediocre tat best this season. IT and Derrick Rose have been a close comparison and with trade talks for Kemba, Thomas would likely see an early end to his tenure with the Cavs.
Cleveland currently sits third in a weak Eastern Conference, and if they were playing in the Western Conference they’d be a six or seven seed right now. Will a trade help Cleveland? Why they are choosing to give up on IT for a guy who is equally as talented in Walker is beyond me. They’ve been toying with Kevin Love for his entire Cavs’ career, and now with LeBron already considering free agency opportunities for the summer it just screams that this team is not ready for the playoffs. They started the season off confident but reality hit. The growing pains of the season are kicking in, guys are upset, management is all torn up, and LeBron is crying to the media.
Clean it up Cleveland!
