Picks 21-30 are off the board in the 2011 NBA re-draft. The talent is getting even stronger here in the middle of first-round as teams look to find solid starters to round out their line-ups. Here’s a look at picks 11-20 in the 2011 NBA Redraft!
20.Bismack Biyombo — Minnesota Timberwolves
With Butler and Love, the Timberwolves can afford to have a non-shooter at the center position, and Bismack is just that. He and Love would be a tough duo to stop on the glass.
19. Cory Joseph — Charlotte Bobcats
Joseph was a bit of a late bloomer, so the Bobcats could phase him in as their aging players left.
18. Markieff Morris — Washington Wizards
For the Wizards, Morris would be a great pick at 18. He would fill a solid need for them at 4.
17. Alec Burks — New York Knicks
Iman Shumpert wasn’t too bad of a pick for New York in the real draft, as they needed a shooting guard, but Burks is a better floor-spacer, which would give Melo more room to work.
16. Reggie Jackson — Philadelphia 76ers
Playing alongside Jrue Holiday would be an interesting experiment for Philly, but Jackson (if Philly so pleased) could pull a Michael Carter-Williams and get crazy stats while losing games and increasing his trade value.
15. Nikola Mirotic — Indiana Pacers
This was a Pacers squad very close to contention as Paul George morphed into a star, but they lacked spacing in their front-court. Mirotic would remedy that.
14. Marcus Morris — Houston Rockets
The Rockets squad was a hodgepodge of old and new, but they needed a wing. The reason Marcus was taken instead of Markieff was that the Rockets already had Luis Scola at power forward.
13. Chandler Parsons — Phoenix Suns
Phasing out an aged Steve Nash, Vince Carter, and Grant Hill in favor of a younger Goran Dragic would have been a smart course of action for Phoenix, but they dealt him for Aaron Brooks. Chandler Parsons’ shooting would have helped out a Suns squad that was falling apart anyway.
12. Tobias Harris — Utah Jazz
Here, we have to take Harris’ scoring abilities instead of looking for a worse player with a better fit. Utah could experiment with a Deron Williams-Gordon Hayward-Tobias Harris-Derrick Favors small ball line-up while bringing in Al Jefferson as a 6th man.
11. Enes Kanter — Golden State Warriors
The Warriors had a Monta Ellis-Steph Curry tandem in 2010-11, and Kanter’s post scoring skills would complement the backcourt dynamite of those two. Tobias Harris would be the choice if not for a thriving Dorell Wright at the time.
